We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic OnBase Solutions Engineer. OnBase is Hyland Software’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pre-contract relationships with client technical teams to ensure confidence and establish solid foundations for long-term client services success. The OnBase Solutions Engineer will be a hybrid member of the Sales & Professional Services Teams and will support Sales Representatives by leading technical discussions during the sales cycle with the intent to maximize sales for the organization. This role must possess an in-depth knowledge of OnBase by Hyland, ECM industry tools, ERP systems, technical requirements and be proficient in communicating and demonstrating that knowledge to clients. Ability to travel 30-50% is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Team in all client technical RFP/RFI responses, sales calls, onsite meetings and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate and conduct Client Site Surveys / Walk-throughs, Demonstrations, Solution Design, Solutions Presentation, ROI Definition and Proposal Preparation.
  • Solicit technical requirements from customers and facilitate all pre-contract design discussions.
  • Develop all BOMs and services for inclusion in the contract.
  • Develop network and workflow diagrams and manage technical documentation in sales materials.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate technical transition to the Implementation Team.
  • Establish pre-contract relationships with required 3rd party vendors.
  • Fully document scope of work and transition to Implementation Team.
  • Assist Sales Representative with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy for an account.
  • Document all technical aspects of new clients in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications

  • Strong initiative, innovation, organization, and attention to detail are essential.

  • Strong customer service, presentation and client relations skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across various simultaneous projects.
  • Proficient in OnBase, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
  • Passionate, hard-working, pride in workmanship, and a willingness to contribute in multiple areas.
  • Flexible team-player and a creative problem-solver.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ Hyland OnBase solution design experience.
  • 3+ years of technical sales support experience.
  • 5+ years large project management experience, preferably in ECM industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Hyland OnBase functionality and technical requirements.
